How many extensions should I get?

First of all, let me explain how our extensions work:
An extension is simply the number that you have after a phone number that allows you to connect with other users of the same phone system.
Example: The main number of your company would be +1 514-600-0155 and you have 20 phones, therefore 20 users on your phone system. The receptionist would need to know where to direct a call from the main number to the first user. In this case and extension or even a license must be assigned to each user’s telephone.

Based on the example above, the automated receptionist could therefore forward calls to each user with extension numbers of your choice, for example callers could dial "102" to speak directly to the user at that extension number. Therefore, if you have 20 users, you will need 20 extensions.

Then, you can also have additional virtual extensions that you can assign to employees who are out of the office. These employees would be reachable from the VoxSun phone system in your office, even if they are out of the office. Calls from these employees can be transferred from their extensions to their cell phones or to any external number.
